Iran Hijab Protest: Demonstrations against hijab in Iran spread to 15 cities, 31 killed, internet off




 Iran Hijab Protest: In Iran, from August 2022, there is a 35 thousand fine for not wearing a hijab.  This is in addition to the whip and a jail term of up to 10 years.  In the last two years, 855 offices were closed.



Iran Hijab protest: protest against Hijab in Iran has spread to 15 urban communities. Young ladies boycotted classes in around 12 colleges, including Tehra. Social media has been blocked in Tehran by shutting down the internet. Up to this point in excess of 1,000 individuals have been arrested by the police. Simultaneously, the security forces took violent action against the demonstration. 31 civilians died in this case.

 The youth have created a mobile app called 'Garshad' against the government. It has downloaded 1 million users. Youth are sending secret messages through this. Here the supreme religious leader Ayatollah Khomeini addressed a gathering on Wednesday. He made no notice of the Anti hijab protest.




Workforce participation 17 percent

 According to the UN report, about 20,000 people from Iran apply for asylum in other countries every year. Of every one of these, ladies have the most applications. Up to 50% of women are enrolled in Iranian universities. Their cooperation in the labor force is simply 17%.

 Women have taken to the streets to protest after the death of 22-year-old Mehsa Amini in police custody for not wearing a hijab.    Ladies in hijab are protest by setting fire. In protest against moral policing, women shared photos on social media cutting their hair with scissors.
